WAYS TO GO

Interserve offers different kinds of assignments:

Long term:

The core of Interserve’s work is our long term programme. Serving people and establishing genuine, lasting relationships is the best way to model the love of Christ, but this takes time. We would hope that you, as an Interserve Partner, would consider a term for an initial period of 3 years. Many of our workers find that, because they have been called to the country of God's choosing, they naturally fall in love with the people and the culture where they serve. Building relationships with people in the countries in the Interserve world requires a serious commitment and an investment of time, but the benefits that arise from this commitment are enormous. In these countries it is difficult to make serious, lasting friendships if you are only there for a short period of time. picture8 picture8

Time overseas will include a period of language learning and cultural study, an immersion into the country of service.

We will be happy to work with you as you seek the full support and backing of your church family - some people who come to us have support from two or three churches and all have a good support base of friends and family. Most positions are not salaried so we will also advise you on how to raise your financial support.

Short term:

On Track is Interserve’s short-term mission programme, for those wanting to serve the peoples of Asia and the Arab World making Jesus known. Placements are available for anytime from two months to one year and are arranged on an individual basis depending on your specific areas of interest.
Whether you are interested in taking a gap year or career break, have just graduated or are about to do a medical elective, or perhaps you’ve just retired, we can arrange something for you

Short term: On Track

Being an Interserve On Tracker condenses your cross-cultural service into a month to twelve month experience. This individualised programme offers you the chance to assess your potential for longer term ministry, expanding your outlook and changing the way you'll see the world.
You can offer your skills in a supporting role to assist others on the field or for relieving some of our long term Partners from their work. You can also use the program to fulfil an elective within your study program.
